Formulation Suggestions

The recommended dosage is between 0.5-2.0%. Betulin is a high-melting-point (approx. 240-250°C) crystalline powder and is insoluble in water. It must be pre-dissolved in the oil phase by heating (e.g., in oils or esters) or, more effectively, dissolved in a glycol solvent (e.g., propanediol, pentylene glycol) before being incorporated into an emulsion's water phase or during the cool-down phase. It is often formulated synergistically with its derivative, Betulinic Acid.
