Oxyresveratrol's potent efficacy is matched by its significant formulation challenges, primarily its poor solubility and extreme sensitivity to light and oxidation. Formulating in simple aqueous systems is not viable and will lead to rapid degradation and severe discoloration. For maximum stability, it must be pre-dissolved in a suitable solvent like Propanediol or Butylene Glycol and formulated into an anhydrous (water-free) base or a highly stable, low-pH (4.0-5.0) emulsion. The use of chelating agents and a robust secondary antioxidant system is mandatory. Finished products absolutely require opaque and airless packaging to maintain potency.
