Formulation Guidelines

• Suggested Dosage: 0.01% – 0.1% (Calculated as propylparaben equivalent).
• pH Stability: Effective across pH 4.0 – 8.5; however, the final formulation pH should be adjusted as the salt form is naturally alkaline.
• Processing: Add directly to the water phase during early stages of mixing; ensure even distribution before adding cationic components.
• Compatibility: Compatible with most anionic and non-ionic surfactants. Use caution with highly acidic actives which may cause the propylparaben to precipitate out of solution.
• Synergy: Combine with Polysorbate 20 to ensure long-term physical stability and prevent recrystallization of the preservative in high-clarity aqueous formulations.
