Matrixyl 3000 Is Two Peptides, Not Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5

Oct 19, 2026 | Market Insights

Quick answer: Matrixyl 3000 is not Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5. Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 is one peptide, Pal-Lys-Val-Lys. Matrixyl 3000 is a trade name for a blend of Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7. Ordering one does not fill a purchase order for the other.

Powder vs Syn-Coll dosing is in Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 as Pal-KVK: Powder Dose Is Not Syn-Coll Percent.

What each name contains

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 is a single INCI. The commercial Syn-Coll solution is that peptide in glycerin and water. You specify one sequence.

Matrixyl 3000 is not a single INCI. The blend pairs Pal-Gly-His-Lys (palmitoyl tripeptide-1) with Pal-Gly-Gln-Pro-Arg (palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7). A search for palmitoyl tripeptide-5 versus palmitoyl tripeptide-1 is the same fork: tripeptide-1 is the GHK peptide, alone or inside that blend. It is not Pal-Lys-Val-Lys.

The older Matrixyl name is a further trap. It is commonly the pentapeptide, not Matrixyl 3000. Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 is Pal-Lys-Thr-Thr-Lys-Ser. A line that says “Matrixyl” without the 3000 is not an order for Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, and it is not automatically an order for the two-peptide blend.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 shows up in the same comparison searches. Its sequence is different again (associated with the Synthe’6 trade name). It does not substitute for Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 or for Matrixyl 3000.

How to choose on the RFQ

Brief says What to order
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 / Syn-Coll / Pal-KVK Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 (this page)
Matrixyl 3000 Both Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7
Matrixyl (no 3000) / Pal-KTTKS Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4
Synthe’6 / Tripeptide-38 Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38

Retinol is a different class. If both a vitamin A molecule and a signal peptide are in the chassis, dose each from its own TDS. None of these names is an injectable.

What to put in the quote or sample email

  • Exact INCI(s) and sequences in writing
  • Whether the brief is Syn-Coll-style single peptide or Matrixyl 3000 two-peptide blend
  • Form and assay for each line
  • Sample pack size(s), plus COA, SDS, and TDS

Documents for Pal-KVK are on the Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 page. Send the inquiry to the page(s) that match the INCI you locked.
